How do the metallic properties change in the series Li, Be, B?

Metals belonging to the same period and to the main subgroups decrease their metallic properties from left to right. Lithium, beryllium and boron belong to the chemical elements of the 2nd period of the main subgroups of the periodic table of chemical elements of D. I. Mendeleev. This means that the reducing (metallic) properties in the Li – Be – B series decrease, since the number of electrons at the external electronic level and the radius of atoms of chemical elements increase. If lithium is a pronounced active metal, then boron is an amphoteric metal.
