How do vector values differ from scalar ones?

Vector quantities have a direction, which in turn affects the rules for their application. That is, this is the addition and subtraction of vectors, in the formulas we use their projections. So, in the law of speed: V = Vo + at, we use the projections of speed and acceleration on the OX axis: Vx = + -Vox + – axt, hence the minus appears, which is determined by the direction of the vector.
