How does a natural complex differ from a geographic envelope?

A natural complex is a unified system of relationships between natural components: relief, climate, flora and fauna, water, soil. In a natural complex, all these components are closely related to each other. Natural complexes come in different sizes. The continents and oceans are large. Natural zones are zonal natural complexes. Local or small natural complexes include: forest, ravine, pond, lake.
The geographic envelope is considered the largest or global natural complex. The atmosphere, lithosphere, hydrosphere and biosphere interact in it. Each shell is influenced and penetrated by other shells of the Earth.
