The first states on our planet originated precisely in the river valleys. This was due to the fact that people always needed water, it was used for a variety of domestic purposes, and later for irrigation of fields, which led to a sharp jump in the development of states, and as a result – trade. Thanks to the fact that mankind has learned to use the water of rivers, a variety of plants have begun to be cultivated. Currently, reservoirs are used even more actively: hydroelectric power plants, reservoirs, dams are being built, regular shipping is carried out, fish are caught, people swim in reservoirs, they are used for outdoor activities and tourism.
