How does a young cell divide?

One of the differences between young cells and old ones is their ability to reproduce themselves, that is, the process of reproduction. Young cells have this ability, while old cells lose this ability.

Cell reproduction occurs by division. Division can occur in two ways: either mitosis or meiosis.

During mitosis, daughter cells are completely identical to the mother cell; in the case of division by meiosis, the daughter cells will have a single set of chromosomes (the parent cell divides its chromosomes between the daughter cells).
