Australia is centrally crossed by the southern tropical high pressure belt. Therefore, Australia is divided into two parts – north, where the climate is tropical and south – with a temperate climate. The northern part covers about 40% of the entire territory. Since the mainland of Australia is in isolation, its flora is very unique – most of the plants are endemic, that is, which is only in Australia. At the same time, there are plants from South Africa, for example, southern beech and islands of the Malay Archipelago, such as ficus, etc.
