How does carbon dioxide get into the leaf?

It should be borne in mind that the sheet was originally designed so as to facilitate the access of carbon dioxide to all cells as much as possible. And not the least role in this is played by the minimum sheet thickness in relation to the surface area.
Carbon dioxide enters the sheet in two ways. The first and main one is through the stomata located in the columnar tissue of the leaf. Also, in some cases, it is possible to enter directly from the atmosphere through the cells of the epidermis by diffusion. However, the second method is much slower.
