How does fog and rain form?

When the sun warms the surface of land and oceans, large amounts of water evaporate. At the same time, it ceases to be liquid, but becomes a gas (vapor). Part of the steam, due to the ascending currents, rises several kilometers in height and forms clouds. But, since the temperature again decreases with altitude, the vapor again turns into a liquid and falls to the surface in the form of rain. And fogs are formed when a lot of water evaporates at once and steam accumulates close to the surface.
