How does Homer’s Iliad begin?

Homer’s Iliad begins with a conflict in the Greek camp between Agamemnon and Achilles. Agamemnon captured the daughter of the priest of the god Apollo, for which he sent a pestilence to the entire army. Achilles opposed the king Agamemnon and he agreed to replace his captive with another – Briseis, captured by Achilles. The cunning Odysseus settled the dispute.
