How does isolation affect the formation of communities of living organisms?

It all depends on the species that live in the community. Many natural communities are isolated. For example, small islands. Certain animals, plants, fungi and other living organisms live there. They feel great. But there are organisms that are able to move from one community to another in search of food and to avoid dangers. An isolated community is stable, but organisms are trapped there and can be destroyed by natural disasters. Non-isolated communities can change over time.
