How does the cell grow?

Cell growth is regulated by external signals, hormones and neuropeptides. In response to an external stimulus, a cascade of biochemical reactions is triggered, which is realized in the activation of nuclear and mitochondrial DNA. Amino acids are synthesized, which form structural and functional proteins; after being improved in ribosomes, these proteins are used to build the cell membrane and other cell structures. As a result of these processes, the cell increases in size.
