How does the color of leaves in trees, shrubs, grasses change?

In the fall, life processes are suspended in shrubs and trees – plants are preparing for a phase of calm. Photosynthesis and cell division stops, chloroplasts die off – the green pigment of the elements.
As we know, in summer the leaves are green only due to sunlight. When fed in the form of light, chlorophyll is produced in leaf cells. Chlorophyll is a green dye. Chlorophyll also tends to break down and recover, but as there is no sun and begins to darken early, chlorophyll does not have time to regenerate in cells and decays. Thus, the cells do not change and the leaves turn yellow.
