How does the Iliad begin and how does it end?

The Iliad ends with the death of Hector and a memorial feast in his honor hosted by his father Priam. The Iliad itself reflects the events that are associated with the Trojan War, which took place at the turn of the 13-12 centuries BC. In fact, this war is almost a semi-legendary event, like its participants. So at the moment it is not known exactly whether Troy actually existed. Such heroes as Achilles, Odysseus, Patroclus, Paris, Hector, etc. took part in the war itself.
