How does the lifestyle of animals affect the characteristics of their reproduction?

The reproduction of different animals directly depends on their behavior, and sometimes on the lifestyle of their ancestors. For example, mammals, whose ancestors recently lived on land, and now they spend most of their time in the water, go outside to breed. Predators are generally secretive in behavior, and therefore build nests where they can leave their cubs while hunting. Herbivores ferment within the herd, where the young can be protected from predators, and they can walk and run a couple of minutes after birth.
