How does the ocean interact with the atmosphere?

The waters of the world’s oceans accumulate solar energy. Tons of liquid evaporate every day when exposed to the sun. Condensation forms, of which the clouds are composed. Therefore, in coastal areas the level of annual precipitation is often higher than in the area within the continent. The continents quickly cool down overnight, while the ocean, on the contrary, does not give off heat for a long time, due to which it softens the climate on land.
