How does the Spartan upbringing of children differ from the current one?

It differs in almost everyone. The fact is that in our time we have a fairly liberal approach to the process of raising children. Sparta was distinguished by a tough character, which was reflected in the children. For a start, it is worth noting that not all children were spared life – if a child was diagnosed with some kind of disease, then he was simply thrown off a cliff. Women had access to the education of boys only up to 7 years old, after which they began to be rigidly trained in special camps, where cruel and unprincipled warriors were brought up in them.

One of the components of a person's success in our time is receiving modern high-quality education, mastering the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for life in society. A person today needs to study almost all his life, mastering everything new and new, acquiring the necessary professional qualities.
