How does the structure of gymnosperms differ from the structure of ferns?

Gymnosperms or Conifers are descended from ancient seed ferns. Gymnosperms include 6 classes, two of which are completely extinct, now there are only 700 representatives of this department on the planet.
Ferns are among the most ancient groups of higher plants. Currently, there are more than 10 thousand species. The department is divided into 7 classes, but only three have living species.
Differences in the structure of gymnosperms and ferns:
