How has industrialization affected the development of national culture and language?

Industrialization led to the unification of the language in the country under the influence of such factors:
The increase in the urban population, in the cities children went to school, and there the teaching standard was one, that is, dialects disappeared, they could exist in conditions when the population was rural and illiterate.
Culture from rural to urban: theater, opera, ballet.
An example is Italy, in the 1860s it became a single state and the government began to create Italians from Sicilians, Venetians and residents of the northern regions. School, army, radio and television helped in this (since the middle of the 20th century it has become a mass phenomenon).
