Until the 20th century, it was believed that a woman should be involved in raising a child, stay at home and run a household. But everything has changed dramatically. Secondly, they began to pay more attention to their careers and development than to having children, so the birth rate in the 20th century fell sharply, especially in Europe and America. One of the reasons can be called two world wars.
