How is a symptom different from a clinical sign?

Symptoms can only be described by the person feeling them. If you are in pain, no one will know unless you tell them. This is the same as dizziness, numbness, tiredness, blurred vision, ringing in the ears and a host of other feelings. Anyone who is not in your body will know about these experiences only if you describe them.

Medical signs are not always readable with the eyes. Sometimes we read them by touch or by ear. Some of the most common signs that we assess in the medical field are skin signs: color, temperature, and moisture. People who are pale, cool, and damp usually feel pretty bad.
