How is algae different from flowering plants?

Algae do not have specialized cells, that is, cells of different structures and, accordingly, functions. In other words, algae do not have tissues and organs in their structure. Algae are composed of thallus – thallus. Flowering plants have tissues and organs. The latter have 2 types of these plants: vegetative and generative. Algae are inhabitants of the aquatic environment, and flowering plants can live both in water and on land. Algae can reproduce by spores, flowering plants by seeds.
