How is experiment different from practice? give examples

The experiment takes place under conditions that were artificially created by scientists. It is needed in order to follow the patterns and processes that occur in its course. For example, scientists heat water with mercury, and then monitor what processes occur during this experiment.
Practice is somewhat different from experiment. In natural conditions, everything should be believable. Scientists do not create an artificial environment, they just observe. For example, observing the growth and development of a cactus does not involve any artificial factors.
