How is gray and white matter located? (brain)

The brain contains both white and gray matter.

White matter is nothing more than bundles of neurites coated with milein, and gray matter is composed of cellular neurons. The color difference is due to the white coloration of milein.

White matter is found in the core of the brain and is covered with gray matter, but patches of gray matter are still present in the white matter. These areas of gray matter are called nuclei.
