How is growth different from development?

Growth and development are very similar concepts, but not the same. Growth implies an increase in the mass of the organ, for example, the growth of the fetus (they increase in size and weight over time). Development, the concept of increasing the functions of an organ, a flower appears from a generative bud, and from a flower after fertilization, a fruit.
