How is immunity ensured?

Leukocytes are known as disease-causing cells. About 25% of leukocytes are lymphocytes. They are part of the body’s immune system and produce soluble proteins called antibodies. White blood cells increase when there is an infection in the body to help fight the pathogens responsible for the infection. There are different types of white blood cells, and they also work in different ways, for example, phagocytes engulf pathogens and destroy them in a process called phagocytosis, lymphocytes produce lysine, which causes pathogens to clump together and die.
