How is Mendel’s second law formulated?

This law is also called the law of splitting. According to the law, when mating offspring of the first generation (heterozygous), their offspring exhibit a splitting of traits in a strict ratio. Splitting means that one part of the offspring receives dominant traits, while the other carries recessive traits.

This law, as well as others, were derived by the scientist Gregor Mendel as a result of his experiments. The scientist’s laws became the basis of genetics.

It is noteworthy that there are three laws, but the first law is not Mendel’s merit, although it bears his name.
