How is observation different from experiment?

Observation and experiment are methods of scientific research applied in biology as well.
Observation is a method of studying the behavior of living organisms in their natural habitat. For example, we observe the growing season of a plant from spring to spring, we study the timing of different stages, the factors that affect these processes.
An experiment involves changing conditions and observing the body’s response. For example, how do the yield indicators of plants change when fertilizing at different stages of the growing season.
