How is pressure determined?
April 11, 2021 | education
| To calculate the pressure, divide the effective force by the surface area:
p = F / S, where p is the pressure, F is the acting force, S is the area.
If it is impassable to find the pressure that the body exerts on the surface under its own weight, then the force F is equal to the weight of the body,
F = Pbody = m * g, where m is the mass of the body, g is the acceleration of gravity 9.8 m / s ^ 2
and S is the area of support of the body on the surface.
This means that the body presses on the surface under its own weight:
p = F / S = Pbody / S = (m * g) / S
