How is symbiosis different from parasitism?

Despite the fact that both symbiosis and parasitism are methods of interaction of different types of organisms, they are completely different. During symbiosis, both organisms benefit from interaction. For example, symbiotic fungi receive organic matter from plants. For this, the mycelium of the fungi penetrate into the root system of the tree. The tree receives water, and both organisms are not affected. Parasitic organisms, on the contrary, living at the expense of their owner, harm him by sucking out vital substances from him.
