How is the beetle adapted to travel by land and by air?

May beetle belongs to the type Arthropods and the class Insects. Like all insects, the beetle has six legs and two pairs of wings. These are the organs of movement and they are located on the segments of the beetle’s chest. He uses his legs to move on the ground or plants. And the wings are for flight. But, unlike, for example, butterflies, only one pair of wings is used for flight – a mesh one. The upper pair of wings is rigid, called elytra, and serves for protection.
