How is the phenomenon of electrification of bodies explained upon contact?

The electrification of bodies upon contact is explained by the transfer of a part of the electric charge (electrons) from one body to another. Bodies are charged with the same name: the first body “shares” the charge with the second, as a result of which both bodies gain the ability to attract other bodies to themselves.
The more the body to which the charge is transferred, the more of the charge will be transferred to it.
