How is voluntary attention different from involuntary?

Attention is an action of perception that is directed at a particular object, and is also the subject of human activity.
Involuntary attention – arises without the effort of a person, as a result of some kind of stimulus. It is also formed reflexively and is inherent in both humans and animals. With involuntary attention, mental activity is activated without any volitional needs. This type of attention is influenced by both external factors and the internal attitude of a person (the object evokes strong emotions, a bright flash). Voluntary attention is different in that it arises purposefully. This form of attention is also called intentional or active. It turns on when a person has an idea that needs to be implemented and for this he concentrates all his attention on achieving a result in his ideas. For this, consciousness, thinking is connected, the brain works, because it is driven by need. The basis of this type is the solution of the assigned tasks.
