The fighting in the Kuban went on from July 1942 to early October 1943.
The offensive of the Nazis here began on July 25, 1942 and lasted until December 31 of the same year. For the next nine months, Soviet soldiers launched counter-offensives. An important victory was the capture of Temryuk, which is located at the very mouth of the Kuban. An important strategic stronghold of the Germans was destroyed.
Completely cleared the Kuban from the German invaders on October 9, 1943.
