How long does a worker ant live?

Ants come in many different types. They all differ in size, color, location of body parts, lifestyle and habitat. The common ants we are used to seeing live from two months to two years. Some studies show that a typical worker ant can live up to five years, but these are the exceptions. European and African ants live quite a bit. No more than three months.
