How many bones are in a human skeleton?

In an adult, the skeleton has 206 bones. A newborn baby has about 350 bones. This difference is due to the fact that the baby’s bones are connected by connective tissue, which facilitates the process of giving birth to the baby. But as the child grows, the bones grow together, the connective tissue disappears, and instead of several small bones, one remains. This, for example, happens with the bones of the skull. Sometimes there are anomalies in the development of the skeleton or limbs, and the number of bones changes, but this is already a pathology.
