In total, there are five zones of illumination. This division is based on the planet’s annual rotation and the tilt of the axis of that rotation. Because of this, in different zones of the Earth, the Sun stands above the horizon at different heights, the day has a different duration, and thermal conditions also differ. There are a hot zone (between the tropics), two temperate zones (from the tropics to the polar circles) and two cold ones (outside the polar circles).
