| The field perimeter is 0.6 km, and one side is twice as long as the other.
Let one side – a km, then the other – 2a km. The perimeter is:
P = 0.6 = 2 * a + 2 * 2a.
2a + 4a = 0.6.
6a = 0.6.
a = 0.6 / 6.
a = 0.1 km – one side.
Another:
0.1 * 2 = 0.2 km.
Field area:
S = 0.1 * 0.2 = 0.02 km2.
Let’s translate into hectares:
1 km2 = 100 ha.
0.02 km2 = 2 ha.
