How many hemispheres of the Earth does South America cover?

The equator divides our planet into northern and southern hemispheres. Greenwich (zero) and 180th meridians divide it into the eastern and western hemispheres.

South America in the northern part is crossed by the equator. It follows from this that it is located in the northern and southern hemispheres.

Neither zero nor 180th meridians cross South America. It lies to the west of the Greenwich meridian, all of its points have a western longitude. This means that the mainland lies entirely within the western hemisphere.
