How many kilometers are the Carpathians?

In ancient times, the Carpathians were called the Sarmatian mountains, and in Russia they were called the Ugric mountains. The Carpathian Mountains have a curved, arched shape, their total length is about 1,500 kilometers. Inside this peculiar arc is the picturesque Central European lowland. The Carpathians are located on the territory of Ukraine, Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Romania, Serbia, Austria. They start near Bratislava in Slovakia and end in Romania near the Iron Gate. The Carpathians attract tourists from all over the world.
