A person perceives and feels the world around him with the help of six senses:

1. The organ of smell.
Smell is the body’s ability to smell. The olfactory organ is located in the nasal cavity.

2. The organ of hearing.
The organ of hearing is the ability to convert sound vibrations into nerve impulses. A person can become aware of the sound 35-175 ms after it reaches the ear.

3. The organ of balance.
Vestibular apparatus – perceives the position of the head, body, movement, changes in gravity, converting irritations into signals for the brain.

4. The organ of vision.
The organ of vision is the ability to see the world around us with the help of the eyes.

5. The organ of taste.
The organ of taste is the body’s ability to taste different tastes thanks to its taste buds. The organ of taste is located in the mouth.

6. Skin – a person’s ability to feel pain and temperature. The skin consists of three main layers: epidermis, dermis, subcutaneous tissue.
