How many volcanoes are there in Kamchatka?

The Kamchatka Peninsula is located in one of the most seismically and volcanically active areas on the planet in the Pacific Ring of Fire. Therefore, this peninsula is literally full of volcanoes, mud and water geysers. In total, there are about 300 volcanoes in Kamchatka, but most of them are extinct or in a passive state. Only 26 can be called active. Among the active ones, Klyuchevskaya Sopka stands out for its height and power, one of the highest volcanoes in the world (over 4000 m).
