How many wars did Rome have with Carthage?

There were three wars in total between them. First Punic, Second Punic and Third Punic. The fighting took place from 264 to 146 BC. During this period of time, Rome was able to significantly strengthen its power and expand its territory, while Carthage, on the contrary, was able to lose. Thus, by the end of 146 BC, Carthage itself was destroyed. Rome was so afraid of the revival of this state that it wiped out its capital from the face of the earth.
