The reaction of magnesium with hydrochloric acid is described by the following chemical reaction equation:
Mg + 2HCl = MgCl2 + H2;
When one mole of magnesium reacts, one mole of hydrogen is formed.
N Mg = 1.2 / 24 = 0.05 mol;
N H2 = N Mg;
Under normal conditions, one mole of ideal gas takes up a volume of 22.4 liters.
