How the balance of power in Europe changed in the 50-60s. ? How did the January uprising in Poland affect international relations?

The order of events is as follows:

First, the Federal Republic of Germany joined NATO, and the USSR normalized relations with Yugoslavia (1954).

In 1955, in response to the FRG’s entry into NATO, a military bloc of socialist countries was created, it became known as the Warsaw Pact Organization (OVD).

In 1958-1961 there was a naval base of the USSR on the shores of the Adriatic Sea in the city of Vlora, Albania.

In December 1961, the USSR recalled the embassy from Tirana, which resulted in a unique case of a break in diplomatic relations between the USSR and the socialist country for 30 years.

In 1968, Albania de jure left the Department of Internal Affairs, and de facto did not take part in its activities since 1962, having begun cooperation with China.

Events in Poland and Hungary spoiled the prestige of the USSR in the socialist countries.
