How to explain that atmospheric pressure decreases with increasing altitude above the Earth’s level?

Air layers near the Earth’s surface are compressed by all air layers above them. But the higher the air layer is from the surface, the weaker it is compressed, the lower its density. Consequently, the less pressure it produces.

This is due to the fact that the closer the layer of the atmosphere is to the Earth, the more other layers of the atmosphere that are located above it put pressure on it. This means that the higher the layer of the atmosphere is located above the Earth and the less other layers of the atmosphere above it, which press on it, and, therefore, the atmospheric pressure will be the less, the greater the height of rise above the level of the Earth.
