How to explain the expression Trojan horse?

The expression “Trojan Horse” can be explained as an insidious gift that brings death. It is known that in ancient times there was a war between the Greeks and the Trojans. True, neither side could gain the upper hand. Thus, one of the commanders of the Greek army, who was Odysseus, proposed creating a large horse as a gift to the Trojans, and placing soldiers inside it, who would go outside at night and open the gates for the Greek army. So his plan was able to come true, since the Trojans took the horse as a sign of recognition of defeat by the Greeks, and dragged him into the city. At night, the hiding soldiers went outside and opened the gates to the waiting troops of the Greeks. This is how the fall of Troy took place.
