How to find the average speed if the path and time are known?

In order to find the average speed Vaverage, you need to divide the entire path traversed by the body by the time during which this path was traversed, that is:

Vaverage = Sfull / tfull.

For example: let the body pass the first leg of the path 2 kilometers in 1 hour, and the second leg of the path 3 kilometers in 1.5 hours, then the average speed of the body will be:

Vaverage = Sfull / tfull = (2 + 3) / (1 + 1.5) = 5 / 2.5 = 2 km / h.
