How to get ethanol from acetylene?

The process of obtaining ethanol from acetylene consists of 2 stages:

1) reduction using a lindlar catalyst (partially deactivated palladium on carbon) or a birch reagent (Na in liquid ammonia) for the first conversion of acetylene to ethylene (ethene).

2) Hydrolysis in the presence of H2SO4 to hide it in ethanol (ethyl alcohol).
