How was the Brest Peace concluded?

The Treaty of Brest-Litovsk was signed on March 3, 1918, between Soviet Russia and the countries of the Quarter Union. The essence of the treaty was that Russia admitted defeat and withdrew from the war. The reason for Russia’s withdrawal from the war was the great losses it suffered during the hostilities. Over the entire period of hostilities, about two million people died. Also one of the reasons for leaving the war was the October Revolution.
