How was the establishment of terror in Rome expressed?

The civil war in Rome ended with Sulla’s indefinite dictatorship in 82 BC. NS. This period is known in the history of ancient Rome due to the compilation of proscription lists – documents with the names of people who were outlawed. These lists were used by Sulla and his entourage as a weapon of political terror from 82 to 79 BC. NS. According to historians, 90 senators and 2,600 noble Romans were killed. The most famous were killed on the Champ de Mars. One of the victims of such a list was Gaius Julius Caesar, but he was saved thanks to the influence of relatives.
